More Winter Fun
Sledding, Cross-Country Skiing, Ice Skating, Hiking, and more
In the winter, you will never be bored in the Zillertal. Countless leisure activities are waiting to be tried and experienced. The toboggan runs can be reached on foot or by taxi or train. In addition to the longest natural toboggan run in Austria, fun for young and old is guaranteed especially on the Genießerberg Ahorn in Mayrhofen.
On the cross-country skiing trails around Mayrhofen and Hippach, you can do classic or skate skiing. In Tux, there is a well-developed network of trails, which can be almost called "snow-sure" due to the high altitude.
If you prefer a more leisurely pace, we recommend a relaxing hike along the Ziller River in the valley or a snowshoe hike off the slopes.
